Fix no network access on a vm virtualbox

I've been pulling my hair out, trying to understand why my virtualbox vm has no internet.
I am running a windows 10 x64 host with a windows 7 x64 VM.
I have tried bridged connection, Nat network, host only adapter, bridged host only adapter, and fixing settings for all of them, but with nothing to my avail.
Sorry if I'm not providing enough info, or if you can't understand. I am extremely frustrated, and tired, so I may not make any sense, and I apologize.
