How to change a color of text in a column based off of another column's text?
I'm building a Excel spreadsheet for my expenses. And I'm doing a copy and paste method from my online banking expenses.
The trouble I'm having is based off a column, named "Payment", it shows the number of the expense (how much it costed), and it shows red.
What I want, is based off of a category column (where I categorize different transactions, such as "Bills, Shopping, Savings, etc."), I have a drop down menu from 'Data Validation'. So from that, I would like the Payment column to show green text on a specific transaction if in the "category" column, it shows is "Income".
Is there a way to do that? Possibly from "conditional formatting" possibly?

Yes, it is possible with conditional formatting. To give you a more specific answer, we would need more info (i.e. sample data). But you should be able to find lots of help by doing a search online for "conditional formatting based on other cell"

Condition Formatting with formula can help you, if you can provide a sample about this problem this will better for helping you.
