Can an internal and external GPU work simultaneously?

I'm planning on getting a Razer Blade 15, but I was wondering if I could use it in conjunction with my external GPU (Razer Core) that I am currently using with my Blade Stealth. If I plug the Core into the Blade, will it only use one or the other, or can I have both GPUs running at the same time to boost performance even more? (They both have Nvidia GTX 1070s by the way, but the one in the blade is a Max-Q).
