Why is one of my two Apple TVs not seeing my DLNA devices? [closed]

My network has a Synology NAS running a DLNA server and two Apple TV 4K devices (identical hardware, running identical firmware).

One of my Apple TV devices can reliably see the Synology DLNA device: it's listed in the tvOS VLC app as well as in all other DLNA-capable applications. However on the other device (located in a different room in the house) my DLNA devices are only listed very occasionally or rarely, so most of the time they're not listed in the tvOS VLC app, also a DLNA diagnostics app I put on the AppleTV reports it didn't find any DLNA servers in the local network.

The network topology for both Apple TVs is similar: they're both immediately connected via wired ethernet to a gigabit switch which then both connect to the same gigabit switch.

Network settings seem the same on both Apple TVs (excepting IP address) and they're both using the same DNS server (a Windows Active Directory domain controller DNS server).
