Network load balancing cluster not loading - Windows Server 2016

I am using three virtual machines (VirtualBox). The cluster virtual machine has Bridged mode. And the other two machines have both NAT and Bridged Mode. However when I setup the cluster, the cluster machine can't reach the cluster (getting a timeout error). And the other two nodes I get a 404 error. The websites can be reached from the three nodes. Any idea what could the problem be? I don't think that the cluster properties matter since I used many combinations and still doesn't work... anyway TCP, port 80, single host, multicast

Edit:

cluster ip: 192.168.1.88
first node web server: 192.168.1.105
second node web server: 192.168.1.106
all ports 80

This question came from our site for system and network administrators.

  • Both machine got NAT and bridge, does that mean they got two NIC ? Can you link a diagram of your setup.

  • @yagmoth555 nop, I have one physical NIC. What do u mean by "link a diagram of your setup."

  • Well, you got 3 VBox server on one physical server, how adressed (IP is what, switch is what, etc..) ? it's hard to imagine with your question

  • @yagmoth555 It's a laptop with Windows 10 as host. I haven't done any additional networking except the bridge mode in Virtualbox

  • @yagmoth555 PS: I can give you TeamViewer remote access... I've been struggling for weeks now, read hundred of tutorials but didn't find anything
