Win10 Computer stuck at Preparing advanced repair, won't boot to main OS, nothing works

I've tried everything, the recovery DVD has been no help, the advanced repair options all require an admin account. and it says there is none.

I've looked at at least 10 guides and nothings helped.

I'm starting to wonder if I should just copy important files over and reset the drive. All the files are intact (checked with command prompt on the recovery DVD), but itd be a major pain to move everything... any help is good help right about now.

  • Do you have any install media or existing backups?

  • Let it prepare the repair over-night. And wasn't the message rather "Preparing Automatic Repair"?

  • Yes, that was the message.
