Пепельный улит[1], или сибирский пепельный улит[2] (лат. Tringa brevipes) — вид птиц из семейства бекасовых.

Описание |
Размером меньше голубя, длина тела достигает от 24 до 27 см, размах крыльев 50—65 см, масса — 85—115 г[3]. Клюв прямой. Весь верх у птицы пепельно-серый, а низ белый, на груди и боках есть волнистый поперечный рисунок (отсутствует зимой). Похож на Американского пепельного улита.
Ареал |
Гнездится в горах у верхней границы леса, по берегам и островам быстрых рек с каменистым дном, при перелёте — на морских побережьях[4]. Обитает на плато Путорана, в горах Северо-Восточной Сибири, Чукотки, Камчатки, Аляски, и, возможно, Прибайкалья[5].
Перелетная птица, зимует в Юго-Восточной Азии, Австралии, а также очень редко залетает в западную часть Северной Америки и в Западную Европу.
Питание |
Питается преимущественно насекомыми, добывает пищу на мелководье и в песке (ракообразных и моллюсков, морских червей).
Размножение |
Делает гнёзда на земле среди камней или использует старые гнёзда дроздов. Яйцекладка в июне — июле. Яйца голубые с черными крапинками.[4] Инкубационный период составляет примерно 23 дня. Обе птицы участвуют в насиживании. Птенцы становятся самостоятельными примерно через 20 дней[6].
Природоохранный статус |
В 2007 году вид занесён в список находящихся под угрозой исчезновения позвоночных в австралийском штате Виктория[7].

I'm in the early stages of developing a fantasy story. At a high level, it involves the tried-and-true, if cliched, plot line of "Scrappy group of rebels fights for liberation against the oppressive Evil Emperor". Here's the catch: The Empire hasn't faced any sort of real resistance in generations, and consequently lacks real military expertise. Their tactics tend to be heavy handed or flawed, and more often than not the rebellion breezes through their poorly planned defenses. The "real" tension in the story, and where most of the conflict will arise, is between the rebel leaders themselves. I found that the philosophy of Kashmiri Shaivism is said to be similar to Adviata and preaching involves the Yoga. I came to know that Vasugupta is the important contributor to Kashimir Shaivism and he revealed Shiva Sutras. I am interested in knowing the Guru Parampara of Kashimir Shaivism like we have Guru parampara of Advaita and Vishishtadvaita.
