Is there a way to get libinput working in libvirt-lxc?

I was able to get a gnome desktop running in libvirt-lxc. I enabled access to the appropriate events until /dev/input in the container xml file and in the xorg.conf file.

But occasionally the event entries will change and I'll have to go an change both to use the container. Is there any way to get libinput to work inside of a libvirt-lxc container?
