Extremely Slow Windows 10 Install from USB Drive

I am trying to install windows onto a new HDD that I got. I created the installation media on another computer and put it on an 8GB SD card. When I plug in the SD card with a SD card reader and select to boot from the SD card windows stars doing the setup, but it is EXTREMELY slow. From the start where it just displays the blue windows logo on a black screen it takes about 45 minutes for the loading circle to appear and the after about 10 minutes it takes me to a purple screen with a cursor. I haven’t gotten farther than that since i’ve been sitting at this screen for about 2 hours now.
What should I do?
Have already tried:
Different USB ports on MOBO
Unplugging mouse, keyboard, microphone, etc.
Removing the HDD from the system
Resetting CMOS (removed battery)
Different SD Cards (Both Class 10)
Creating Install Media on different computers
Creating install media from ISO using Rufus
I know that the SD card and reader are fine since I have used those to install windows the same way onto a different system.
PC Specs (Yes it’s old, yes it’s crap)
MOBO: Gigabyte G31M-ES2C
CPU: C2Q Q6600
GPU: GT 710
RAM: 4GB DDR2 667Mhz
HDD: WD Blue 320GB 7200RPM
PSU: Sketchy 320W Unbranded
windows-10 hard-drive installation performance

Instead of SD card , try creating a bootable USB pen drive installation and check again if it's still slow. Your SD Card might be of lower class (Class 2, 4 etc) resulting into poor speeds.

I do not have a USB drive above 4gb (too small). The SD card i’m using is a class 10 card. Could the USB 2.0 SD card reader be the bottleneck?

For older PC's, I find a Linux distro to be far faster than Windows 10. If you can live with Linux apps such as LibreOffice, Firefox and Thunderbird, you might try running from the SD card, or even installing it. Normally, installation takes <1/2 hour, but might be slower from the SD card.
